Our water soluble Cannabis/Hemp - why is it so innovative and what do we mean by bioavailability?
How does our Water Soluble compare to our Cannabis/Hemp oil?
Cannabis/Hemp oil is a fat soluble substance which means that its bio-chemistry isn’t soluble in water. The Canni Family Cannabis/Hemp oil is taken sublingually under the tongue and absorbed through the thin layer of skin, into the vein, and then into the body's endocannabinoid system. The active full spectrum components within the oil include CBD, CBN and CBZ which are shown in our independent lab test reports. This is the traditional and most popular Cannabis/Hemp product.
However due to the way Cannabis/Hemp oil is taken, only a proportion is absorbed sublingually under the tongue, a percentage is always lost down the sides of the mouth into the stomach where it is made obsolete by the gastric juices or destroyed by the liver. If The Canni Family product is taken as instructed and held under the tongue for 3 minutes, before swallowing or drinking, then adequate amounts are absorbed, although the exact dosage can never be known exactly.
Our water soluble product costs more than our oil and has less Cannabis/Hemp extract in it so why should you consider it?
Our water soluble delivers the same active full spectrum Canabis Sativa L plant extract into our endocannabinoid system through an innovative processes that converts the fat soluble cannabinoids into water soluble molecules. These molecules are pinned onto Curcumin (aka Turmeric) and are fully absorbed through the lining of the stomach, rather than being lost to the gastric system or liver which means that 1mg of our Water Soluble is the equivalent to 20mg of oil due to its bioavailability. Bioavailability (BA) is a term used in pharmacology, nutritional and environmental sciences. In nutritional terms it refers to the degree and rate at which a substance, such as Cannabis/Hemp Oil, and its compounds are absorbed by the body's circulatory system.
Our Water Soluble can be added to drinks which helps if you or the person who is taking it either can’t wait the three minutes to hold the oil under the tongue or doesn’t like the taste of the oil.
The feedback so far from our clients is that our Water Soluble has a faster and stronger effect, 1mg is the equivalent to 20mg of oil due to its bioavailability, its dropper delivery makes it easier to use and it has more active ingredients including a 1:1 ratio of Cannabis/Hemp extract and Turmeric and a few other things to make it taste nicer.
What is so special about our Water Soluble vs other Cannabis/Hemp products?
The majority of sprays and oils available on the market are still fat soluble, which means you will always lose a certain amount to the gastric system down the sides of the mouth. It is only those that are Water Soluble that guarantee you will receive the full amount of Cannabis/Hemp extract into your system.
How does the Water Soluble work and what do we mean by bioavailability?
A Cold Pressed Cannabis/Hemp oil based on BioACTIVE+ will be more effectively absorbed than the standard Cannabis oil, as the BioACTIVE+ contains a complex which acts like a transporter (lipoprotein) to the bloodstream, which means the naturally occurring levels of CBD, found in the Canabis Sativa L plant, won’t first need to be bound to a lipoprotein by the body before it can end up in the bloodstream.
Our Water Soluble was developed to increase the Cannabis/Hemp extracts bioavailability and to make the it water soluble, ensuring it won’t just be absorbed more effectively, but will also have more application possibilities than the traditional oil-based Cannabis supplements. CBD is a lipid component and has to be metabolised by the body after ingestion, where the body has to bind the CBD to a lipoprotein (transporter) in order to get the CBD into the bloodstream.
The body makes the CBD water soluble itself – as a result of the binding to the body’s own lipoprotein. As the body is making the CBD water soluble itself, the naturally occurring CBD can be absorbed in the blood, which, of course, is made up of >90% water. As the body has to carry out a complicated metabolisation itself in order to make the CBD water soluble, almost 95% of the CBD is broken down by the liver during metabolisation and only approximately 5% will eventually reach the bloodstream. The body will have been able to make the 5% CBD, which eventually does reach the bloodstream, water soluble itself by binding the CBD (lipid) to a lipoprotein.
Our Water Soluble contains an advanced complex which is bound to the naturally occurring levels of CBD in the Canabis Sativa L plant and acts like a lipoprotein (transporter) to the bloodstream. The bound CBD element is therefore instantly water-soluble. As the CBD is already bound as a result of the BioACTIVE+ Formula in the supplement, the body won’t need to carry out a complicated metabolisation to get the CBD into the bloodstream. This means >99% of the bound CBD, based on the BioACTIVE+ Formula, will actually be absorbed by the body.
Another advantage of a CBD oil based on the BioACTIVE+ Formula is that all terpenes naturally present in Cannabis /Hemp will result in a full entourage effect and will have some effect on the Cytochrome P450 enzyme system so the active ingredients will be broken down more slowly.
Another tip ...
Now you know a little more about the content and efficacy of various types of Cannabis/Hemp oil available on the market today, it may well be easier to make the right choice when buying a Cannabis/Hemp product which meets your needs. Do bear in mind that not every oil seller will always have your best interests at heart and therefore always choose a supplier who can provide all of the documentation to prove what is in and more importantly not in their products, review our Independent Lab Reports. Also ask about the techniques used, the analyses and the ingredients, making sure you know it contains exactly what it says on the label.
